Floral and fruity fragrances make for a heady combination, and it is these fragrances that this beautiful, mildly sweet scented tea is trying to evoke. Grown in the hills of Darjeeling, this complex, flavorful, second flush tea is layered with several notes of different fruits and spices with a unique complexity.

Brisk, soft and sweet, the first notes of firewood are mellow and mildly astringent. Muscatel fragrance rides over the notes with a fruity strong flavor staying for a while. Layered flavors are full bodied and end in a mild grape fruit taste.

Giddapahar, which translates to eagle peak in English is located in the heart of the ever pleasant Darjeeling district. It was founded in 1881 is a family owned garden that does large scale production of the world famous Darjeeling Tea. Although as small area of 115 hectares with 94 hectares covered with tea bushes. This tea estate produces one of the finest quality of Darjeeling tea, which is famous across the world. It features a unique combination of traditional China, Clonal and Assam bushes. It also produces green teas in the month of July every year. The land expanse is 115 hectares of which 94 hectares is covered tea bushes. They produce about 30,000 kg of tea per year.

Loose leaf teas are the best for consumption as one is able to brew the leaves properly while also enjoying maximum benefits from the tea leaves with quality tea experience. When steeped, loose leaf tea gives the complex flavours of tea that one can enjoy only in good quality teas. Also tea leaves need adequate space to properly unfurl while brewing. So, for a flavourful and wholesome tea experience use loose leaf tea.

We recommend a certain temperature (80-85 C; 90-95 C) for the fresh o2 rich filtered water to be boiled at the time of brewing tea. This is only a guide and precision without a thermometer is challenging. You can simply boil and see for yourself. Boiling water is at 100 C, if you leave it for 30 sec it should be around 90-95 C, if you leave it for 40-45 sec it should be around 85-90 C and 1 minute should leave water at around 80-85 C.

Spoon measured the quantity of tea in the tea maker/pot. Pour boiled water (150 ML) over the tea leaves(2 g). Steep for suggested time (4-5 minutes). Strain & sweeten as per choice. Pour it in a cup and enjoy the #PluckToCup experience.

We vacuum package our tea in high barrier aluminium pouches to ensure freshness of the teas. We recommend that you store the teas in airtight containers in a cool and dry place. This keeps it away from moisture and odour. Thereby ensuring no alterations to the aroma and flavour of tea.

Our teas can be used upto 18 to 24 months from the date of manufacturing. However, teas once opened have to be stored in airtight containers and should be kept away from moisture, light and odour.
